In German, 'Spiegel' means 'mirror'. My images reflect me as an artist and photographer. Growing up, I loved taking pictures and always had a dog. My father gave me my first camera at the age of 8 and I’ve been photographing my world ever since. My first dog was Pepper, a Poodle and Sheltie combo.
I graduated from San Diego State University with a Degree in Art. As a Fine Artist Photographer, I love to shoot a variety of images, such as landscapes, flowers and the ocean. But I'm focusing my business photography on pets, especially dogs. In the past, I've worked for several humane societies and animal rescue groups. I photographed many dogs (and cats) for adoption promos. Using that experience, I can capture your pets image and get them to be relaxed in front of the camera.
I share my home with a 14 lb. Pomeranian, named Kharma 'Fluffy Pants' Spiegel. He is the CEO (Canine Executive Officer) when my dog photography sessions.
I believe that photographs speak to us in a variety of ways ... whether it's our pets, family memories ... or just having fun. Not only do photographs document our lives, but they tell a story and brings back memories. I invite you to look through my portfolios and I hope you enjoy my images.
